An engraved Vegvisir (Protection) Stave adorns the top of this walnut hardwood, finger jointed and lidded box, filled with a set of square, walnut hardwood Elder Futhark (Viking) runes.

The 25 runes, including a blank rune (traditional for rune reading) measure about 1 x 1 x 1/4" inches. We do not use black paint or stain on these, they are dipped in our iron solution which changes the wood to black but leaves the beauty of the grain. Then we hand paint the gold details and seal with a natural oil.

The box measures approximately 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 x 2 inches.
